A Chinese man jumped to his death after a heated fight with his girlfriend in an eastern province in China. Tao Hsiao, 38, spent the entire day following his girlfriend through the mall as she dragged him from store to store. After 5 hours he had reached his limit and demanded they go home. Eye witnesses state they were already holding more shopping bags than they could carry.
‘He told her she already had enough shoes, more shoes that she could wear in a
lifetime and it was pointless buying any more.
‘She started shouting at him accusing him of being a skinflint and of spoiling Christmas, it was a really heated argument.’
The shouting match ended when the man tossed the bags over the edge of a seven story balcony, and then proceeded to toss himself over the edge as well. Tao managed to destroy a section of Christmas decorations before splattering himself all over the mall floor. Emergency officials arrived quickly to the scene, and said the impact killed him instantaneously. When interviewed, his girlfriend was thankful he didn’t land on anyone, and wanted to let everyone know that shoes are buy 1 get 1 at 50% off over at Marshalls.
